Micheal Donnington, Submarine Dismantling Programme Manager, Babcock International

Mike started working for Babcock in 2003 after he graduated from Plymouth University with a Bachelor of Science Honours Degree. Mike achieved his Master of Science at Lancaster University in 2006 and obtained his Chartered Engineer status in 2009. Mike has held numerous positions in the Submarine Support area including the Facility Manager (Refuelling) where he was responsible for maintenance and upkeep of all the refuelling facilities. Mike was also appointed as the Vanguard Main Static Converter Project Manager where he was responsible for delivering a major equipment upgrade on the Vanguard Class Submarines, this was one of the largest equipment upgrades undertaken on an in-service submarine platform in the UK. Mike is currently the Programme Manager for the delivery of the Submarine Dismantling Project for Babcock and is currently on a secondment at Rosyth, Scotland where the project demonstration is underway.
